How do I prevent Salary Schedules from 'bumping' during Position Rollover?
Whether Salary Schedules are 'bumped' during Position Rollover is controlled through settings on the Salary Schedule. Each Salary Schedule may be set differently.
For quick review, the settings show on the List tab in the Salary Schedules activity. However, they are a little far to the right, so you may wish to scroll right, then grab the column heading (one at a time) drag them left, closer to the Salary Schedule Id and Description.
There are two settings: Column Movement and Row Movement. If you do NOT want salary schedules to be bumped, make sure both are set to zero. In the example below, two of the three active schedules will need to have their Row Movement changed to zero. Otherwise, they will bump one row during the roll over.
Simply open the rows, one at a time, and change the Row Movement setting. Note: This setting is never locked, so you do not need to end & copy the row to make a change.
